Motorcyclist dead after crash near Bridal Falls

The driver and passenger of the car remained at the scene and are cooperating with police.

A 23-year-old motorcycle rider is dead after a violent collision on Bridal Falls Road near Popkum, B.C. Friday evening.

The young man riding the motorcycle t-boned a car making a left turn at the time.

Staff Sgt. Deron Brown with the RCMP's Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment said first responders arrived within minutes, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead on scene.

The man and his son driving the car remained on scene after the crash and are cooperating with police.

RCMP say the investigation is still ongoing and are asking any potential witnesses to contact them.
