A 16-year-old boy, arrested in connection with an attack on a young woman at a Vancouver nightclub Sunday night, is facing a new charge of sexual assault following a separate complaint.

Crown counsel says a second complainant came forward in relation to an incident in October involving the youth who cannot be named because of his age.

The accused is already facing charges of aggravated sexual assault and forcible confinement in connection with Sunday's attack.

At the time, Vancouver police said there were many witnesses to the nightclub attack and a lot of available video footage.

The Crown says it intends to seek an adult sentence because of the seriousness of the charges.

Police were called to the Encore Dance Club on Granville Street just after 11:00 p.m. PT. Sunday night. The club was hosting a private party at the time of the incident.

The underage victim was transported to hospital in stable condition. Police called the attack targeted.
