Local youth zoomed down a race course laid out on Carnation Street in Seymour Heights in North Vancouver on Sunday to finally test out soapbox cars they spent months building.
Since January, children between 10 and 12-years-old designed and built their own soapbox racers as part of a United Way of the Lower Mainland funded program through the Parkgate Community Services Society.
The goal of the program was to increase social skills and community well being, but it also looked like a lot of fun.
