A woman has been arrested for assaulting a Vancouver police officer after a fight on a party bus early Saturday.

Police say they were called to a report of an assault at Alberni and Thurlow Streets. When they arrived, police were told the assault suspect had boarded a party bus.

Police located the bus at Burrard and Nelson Streets and a fight erupted when they tried to identify the man on the bus, according to a police statement.

Four people were arrested for breaching the peace and a woman was arrested for assaulting an officer, the statement said.

Cruisers from across the city — as many as 24 at one point — were called to the scene to get things under control.

There were no injuries.
