The rock legend had two Vancouver shows on his One on One tour

If you want to understand the appeal of Paul McCartney, just see the crowd that came out to see him in concert in Vancouver.

From old rockers like Sir Paul and the Beatles' early days to young children who know the lyrics of "Hey Jude," his music spans entire generations.

And it was a packed audience which sang along with the rock legend as he performed on Tuesday night at Rogers Arena. After all, who can resist karaoke with McCartney?

Sir Paul's One on One tour concert was a trip down memory lane.

Remember back in 2012 he singed the roof at BC Place with fireworks?

The only literal flames shooting out Tuesday night were during his James Bond-theme song, "Live and Let Die."

Unlike some other musicians, McCartney did not rely too much on pyrotechnics and costume changes.

In fact, as he removed his jacket after a song, he promised it would be the only wardrobe change that night.

The performance also included some nice Canadian touches: surprise guest Diana Krall joined McCartney for one song, and later McCartney waved a Canadian flag during the encore.

Fans back for round two on Wednesday are definitely in for a treat. McCartney left the crowd craving hit after hit.
