Woman's death in Surrey, B.C., investigated as homicide

Homicide investigators are looking into the death of a woman in Surrey, B.C., on Sunday night.

RCMP say that a man has been arrested in the death, which happened in the Port Kells neighbourhood

Homicide investigators are looking into the death of a woman in Surrey, B.C., on Sunday night.

Surrey RCMP said in a statement Monday that they were called to a home in the 9800 block of 182A Street around 10 p.m. PT on Sunday.

They said they found a woman with life-threatening injuries in the home located in the Port Kells neighbourhood who later died of her injuries in hospital.

Police say they arrested a man near the home but did not say in their statement if the man was charged with the woman's death. The cause of death was also not provided in the police statement.
