RCMP say a potential threat to the Prince George courthouse has been determined to be false.

On Tuesday morning, the courthouse was evacuated, and the surrounding area closed to the public as police investigated what they said was a "potential bomb threat" in the city's downtown core.

Investigators found no threat, Cpl. Jennifer Cooper says.

They are now working on determining who made the "false call" to the courthouse. Cooper says no further updates will be provided.
