A high-speed car chase and shooting in Surrey, B.C., ended with a crash in Delta Monday evening.

Surrey RCMP say they received a call around 8 p.m. PT from a man saying someone was shooting at him in his truck, near 152nd Street and 48th Avenue in Surrey.

The car carrying the suspects took off and the victim followed in pursuit of a white sedan, say police. The two vehicles raced down close to the U.S. border, onto Highway 99, and then onto Highway 17.

According to police, a suspect in the sedan car continued shooting at the victim in the truck.

The chase ended near River Road and 80th Avenue in Delta, when the sedan crashed. Three men were found inside with minor to moderate injuries; they were arrested and a gun was seized, say RCMP.

All three suspects are known to police.

It's not clear if the victim was known to police, or if he knew any of the suspects.
