Top picks from the East Vancouver Culture Crawl

The executive director of the Eastside Culture Crawl shares her recommendations for this year's festival.

Over 400 artists open their studios to the public. Here are director Esther Rausenberg's top picks.

Three days, 84 buildings, and 437 artists — the Eastside Culture Crawl can be a little overwhelming.

It's an annual three day visual arts festival featuring an array of artists working in Vancouver's east side opening their studios to the public.

Executive director Esther Rausenberg recommends you compile a list of the artists who create the kind of art you like and make a plan to keep the festival bite-sized.

For example, if you like pottery, take your time checking out just the potters' studios this year.

But, if you're an experienced culture crawler, Rausenberg suggests you venture out and visit studios you've missed in previous years.

The Eastside Culture Crawl begins Nov. 15 and runs until 6 p.m. PT Nov. 17.
