Traffic is now back to normal on Broadway after a single-vehicle crash, bike crumpled at scene
One person is in serious condition after a crash involving an SUV and a bicycle Sunday in Vancouver.
East Broadway — a main artery of the city — remained closed most of the morning while police investigated the collision.
Witnesses told CBC that a cyclist was hit.
Officers set numbered plastic markers amidst the debris that littered a section of Broadway. The canopy of a pickup truck, knocked free, rested on part of the sidewalk.
"[There are] no life threatening injuries," said Vancouver Police Const. Brian Montague in an email about the accident.
The closure is affecting the 1000-block of East Broadway between Glen Drive and Windsor Street from around 3 a.m. PT until past 11 a.m. PT.
