Two girls were stabbed inside a rental home in the 6600 block of Knight Street on the city's East Side, at around 1 a.m. PT, police said.
Both managed to stumble out onto the front lawn of the house before they collapsed.
One girl, 17, later died in hospital. The other, 16, was released after being treated. Their names were not released by police.
Police are interviewing about 40 teenagers who were at the party, and they are looking for a teenage girl in connection with the incident.
