c̓əsnaʔəm, the historic Musqueam village on the site where Vancouver was built, is the focus of a new exhibition at the Museum of Vancouver.
A groundbreaking exhibit involving three cultural sites showcases Musqueam history
Many people think of Vancouver as a "new" city. But long before the gleaming towers, the industry and the traffic was another thriving community called "cesna?em."
This ancient Musqueam village is the focus of a new exhibition at the Museum of Vancouver called c̓əsnaʔəm, the city before the city.
Jordan Wilson is one of the co-curators of the exhibition, which launched on Jan. 22, and a Musqueam community member.
He spoke to Gloria Macarenko on Our Vancouver.
