Victoria police investigating after child pricked with uncapped syringe

Victoria police are investigating after a 3-year-old child was pricked by a syringe at a business on Monday afternoon.

The 3-year-old was taken to hospital and has since been released

Victoria police are investigating after a three-year-old child was pricked by an uncapped syringe on Monday afternoon.

According to police, the incident, which is being treated as a "suspicious circumstance" occurred in a business in the 900-block of Pandora Avenue.

The child's parents said they noticed the uncapped syringe after the child began to cry.

The child was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and has since been released.

Victoria police are appealing to the public for information about the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call 250 995-7654.
