The annual VPD Police Dog Calendar hits Vancouver streets today, with all proceeds being raised for charity.

The calendar, which retails at $10, is sold in support of B.C. Cancer Foundation and B.C. Children's Hospital Foundation and has, so far, raised a total of $100,000.

Featuring images of the courageous canine cops with professional athletes such as Daniel and Henrik Sedin, the fundraiser is produced by the Candy Anfield Memorial Foundation.

Candy Anfield was a VPD officer who died of breast cancer in 2004; the foundation was set up by her husband, retired VPD officer Mike Anfield.

The canine unit will be out selling the calendars in Vancouver over the next few weeks. They can also be purchased online.
