What do you think is the 'Best Album Ever'?

On the Coast launched their newest music feature this week, asking listeners for their musical opinion.

We are looking for the answer from all the music critics out there

In a world where we are constantly bombarded by multi-media, the idea of the best album ever is a nice thought to contemplate. (Shutterstock)

Do you have an ear for a good tune and a strong opinion on what makes a good album?

CBC's On the Coast would like to tap into your inner music critic.

This week the show launched its latest music feature:  Best Album Ever.

Over the next couple of weeks, the team will be looking for submissions.

Here are the rules:

1) NO 'Greatest Hits' compilations

2) NO soundtracks

3) NO live albums

(Even though we recognize the merits of albums that fall into these categories)

You are also more likely to have your album chosen by the team, and aired ... if you include an explanation as to why it is the best album ever!

Send your submissions to onthecoast@cbc.ca.  Here's some of the submissions from the week:

Appetite for Destruction- Guns and Roses (1987)

Left and Leaving- The Weakerthans (2000)

Astral Weeks- Van Morrison (1968)

The King is Dead- The Decemberists (2011)

The Suburbs- Arcade Fire (2010)

Who's Next?- The Who (1971)

If you'd like us to play a song from what you think is the 'Best Album Ever', send your submissions to onthecoast@cbc.ca.
