Calgary Centre holds candidate debate
Constituents hear from three out of five candidates
A small group of constituents heard from three of the five candidates running to replace former Conservative MP Lee Richardson in the Calgary Centre riding on Thursday night.
All five candidates were invited, but only three were able to participate.
Conservative candidate Joan Crockatt and Green Party candidate Chris Turner said they were unable to attend because of scheduling conflicts.
Liberal candidate Harvey Locke said he has been encouraged by the response he has received in the traditional Tory riding.
"Halfway into the campaign I'm feeling a tremendous sense of excitement, I'm seeing Progressive Conservatives looking at our campaign for its values."
Dan Meades with the NDP and Tony Prashad from the Libertarian party also took part in the debate.
Constituents will vote on November 26.
