'Temporarily closed': Calgary storefronts a sign of the times with COVID-19

Calgary shop and restaurant owners are suffering huge financial losses as they keep their businesses shut or just partly operating during the COVID-19 emergency, doing their part to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

Calgary shop and restaurant owners are suffering huge financial losses as they keep their businesses shut or just partly operating during the COVID-19 emergency, doing their part to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

But as anyone who was around for the 2013 flood can tell you, Calgarians know how to come together during a time of crisis and give a boost to those working the hardest on the front line.

That community spirit is on display on storefront windows all over the city.
