Calgary's mayor-elect, Jyoti Gondek, won the most votes in all 14 of the city's electoral wards, according to official results of the municipal election released Friday afternoon.

The final count gave Gondek 176,344 votes and 45 per cent of the vote share, in total.

Second-place finisher Jeromy Farkas earned 116,698 votes, or 30 per cent of the total.

Jeff Davison finished third with 50,654 votes, or 13 per cent of the total.

Of the ballots cast on election day, Gondek won the most votes in every ward across the city.

She also won the most votes in advance and special polls, which are not included in the ward-specific tallies.

Gondek's strongest showing was in Ward 7, where she earned 57.8 per cent of the vote.

Farkas's strongest result was in Ward 11, which he represented for the past four years as city councillor. He earned 35.8 per cent of the ballots cast for mayor in that ward in Monday's vote, compared with Gondek's 40.6 per cent.

Davison's strongest result was also in the ward he represented as a councillor, Ward 6, where he earned 22.9 per cent of the mayoral ballots.

That still put Davison in third place in Ward 6, behind Farkas at 29.1 per cent and Gondek at 38.7 per cent.
