Toddler's death in southeast Calgary suspicious, police say

Calgary police are investigating the death of a toddler in the southeast community of Radisson Heights on Tuesday as suspicious.

Calgary police are investigating the death of a toddler in the southeast community of Radisson Heights on Tuesday as suspicious.

Police and EMS responded to a call that a child was in medical distress at a home in the 2800 block of 14th Avenue S.E around 11:20 a.m 

First responders found an unresponsive 18-month-old boy.

Despite their best efforts, the toddler was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said. Officers were questioning two adults.

An autopsy will be conducted on Wednesday.

Investigators are also interviewing witnesses, collecting security camera footage and examining evidence, police said.
