Police are asking witnesses to come forward after a fatal shooting in Saddle Ridge on Saturday evening.
Police said they received multiple calls about a shooting in the 200 block of Saddlecrest Boulevard N.E. around 7:25 p.m.
Two men were found with gunshot wounds, police said.
Police are looking to speak to anyone who was in the alley behind that street between 7:15 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.
"We need witnesses to come forward to help us put a stop to these brazen shootings that are putting innocent bystanders at risk," said police Staff Sgt. Martin Schiavetta in an emailed release on Sunday.
The first man, who was in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second, a man in his 20s, was taken to Foothills hospital in life-threatening condition, EMS said. He is still in hospital in critical condition.
"If you were in the area at the time, please contact us. Even the smallest piece of information could be critical to our investigation," Schiavetta said.
An autopsy to formally identify the deceased victim is scheduled for Tuesday.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers.
The shooting was one of three possible homicides under investigation in the city over the weekend.
A suspicious death is under investigation after a man was found in medical distress in the Beltline early Sunday morning, and later the same morning a body was found on fire in Fish Creek Park.
