Four members of the Canadian military stationed at CFB Wainwright in Alberta have been arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking.

Several more soldiers could be charged with possessing a controlled substance, the Canadian Forces said in a release Thursday.

"These arrests reflect the ongoing efforts of the CFNIS National Drug Enforcement Team across Canada," said Lt.-Col. Gilles Sansterre, who commands the investigative arm of the Canadian Forces military police.

The names of the soldiers involved are not being released because charges have not yet been laid, officials said.
