2 children seriously injured after being struck by vehicle at crosswalk

Two school-age children who were walking in a crosswalk Wednesday morning when they were hit by a vehicle in southwest Calgary are now in stable condition, according to police.

Two school-age children who were walking in a crosswalk when they were hit by a vehicle Wednesday morning in southwest Calgary are now in stable condition, according to police.

They were taken to hospital with various serious injuries after the incident, according to EMS.

The incident took place at a crosswalk near 17th Avenue and 25th Street S.W. shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Calgary police said it wasn't immediately clear whether charges would be laid.
