Cirque du Soleil's yo-yo master shows off
In Cirque du Soleil's latest touring production Kurios, it's not just acrobats who are stealing the show. There's hand puppets, clowns and there's some serious yo-yo action.
Touring with Kurios, yo-yo artist BLACK has some serious skills
Things that most people can do with a yo-yo: flick it towards the ground and watch it not come back up.
Some of the things yo-yo artist BLACK can do:
- Create pentagrams.
- Twirl it in every direction imaginable without breaking radio equipment.
- Let it "sleep" for up to half-an-hour.
- Manage to make yo-yo interesting for Cirque du Soleil audiences.
BLACK is a two-time world yo-yo champion and an unlikely highlight in the latest Cirque touring production Kurios.
The production is at the Stampede Grounds until May 24.
