Deerfoot Trail has now fully reopened after temporarily being closed in both directions as Calgary police dealt with multiple collisions.

Police were called at around 12:20 p.m. for reports of multiple collisions, involving about six vehicles, on southbound Deerfoot Trail, according to Calgary police.

One person was taken to hospital in serious, potentially life-threatening condition.
