Fargo will be literally 'shooting' in High River
TV series filming massive gun scene in the southern Alberta town
Don't be alarmed if you hear gunfire over the next few weeks in downtown High River.
The TV series Fargo is getting ready to film a massive shootout scene at the High River Motor Inn — and it's going to be noisy.

"Information is really key to this, so no one is surprised by suddenly hearing bursts of gun fire in middle of the night," said producer Kim Todd.
Todd and her crew have been canvassing the community, dropping off flyers and door-knocking to let residents know what's going on.
"People look at you like, you've got to be joking," she said.
Fargo will be providing alternative sleeping arrangements for people living in certain areas of High River.
"It's not a huge deal for people if we're noisy one night, but night after night is just too much," said Todd.
She says it will take five full nights to shoot the entire gun scene, which translates to about six minutes of screen time.
Crews will be in the southern Alberta town from April 30 to May 8 and will be barricading off the block surrounding the High River Motor Inn to ensure no modern cars, or people, slip in while filming.
"It's set in 1979 and so we've been talking to people with a lot of old cars and furniture. We've become recipients of a lot of collectibles," said Todd.
A new cast of celebrities — including Ted Danson, Kirsten Dunst, Patrick Wilson and Jesse Plemons — join the second season of Fargo, which is being filmed all over Alberta.
The new series premiers in the fall of 2015.
