Man dies after shooting in southwest Calgary

One man is dead and one woman was sent to hospital after a shooting in a southwest Calgary community Tuesday morning, police reported.

No risk to public safety, city police say

One man is dead following a shooting in a southwest Calgary community Tuesday morning, police reported.

The Calgary Police Service responded to a home on Patterson Close S.W. after a call around 8:40 a.m.

The shooting was initially described by CPS as "domestic-related."

A woman was also taken to hospital with minor injuries as a result of an assault. 

There is no current public safety risk, police said.
