Emergency crews were called to a stabbing at the tavern in the 400 block of 4th Avenue S.E. at about 1 a.m. They found a man, who died at the scene, said police.
Investigators are classifying the case as a suspicious death until an autopsy can be completed.
Police are also looking into an assault on Saturday night in the southeast.
Crews called to the 6000 block of 8th Avenue S.E. found a 28-year-old man stabbed several times in the back. He was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition but has been upgraded to stable, said police Sunday.
