Alberta RCMP investigating 2 deaths over the weekend in Sundre

Sundre RCMP said they were called to a local business on Main Avenue West on Oct. 6 in response to a call for assistance.

Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit is investigating the suspicious death of a woman found in Sundre on Friday. 

In a statement, Sundre RCMP said they were called to a local business on Main Avenue West on Oct. 6 in response to a call for assistance. 

RCMP said they located a deceased woman in a vehicle upon arrival. 

The Major Crimes Unit is now investigating the death as a homicide. 

In a separate statement on Sunday, RCMP said that they had identified a suspect in the woman's death, and a suspect vehicle. 

On Saturday, a deceased male was found near the suspect vehicle in a rural area of Sundre. 

"RCMP are not seeking any further suspects in the homicide of the female," said the release.
