The man accused of dismembering a Calgary woman and discarding her remains in several locations was released on bail for a second time after being re-arrested for breaching his release conditions.

Joshua Jordan Weise is charged with indignity to human remains in connection with Joey English's death in June.

He is suspected of disposing of English's body "in multiple locations," including a park in Crescent Heights.

Crown prosecutor Ken McCaffrey consented to the 40-year-old's release in July but earlier this month Weise was re-arrested when it is alleged he was found with a Leatherman-style knife — a breach of his conditions.

McCaffrey opposed bail but provincial court Judge John Bascom sided with defence lawyer Rebecca Snukal and agreed to Weise's release.

The details of Monday's hearing are protected by a publication ban.

Police recovered the remains on June 8 after being called to a lightly-forested area on the west side of the intersection of Centre Street North and Samis Road, where a passerby had made the discovery.

English, 25, was reported missing by a family member on June 9.

Police have said the victim and the accused were "acquaintances" and that Weise's actions were the result of "a series of bad decisions" but that he is not suspected of causing her death.

Police believe English died at Weise's home in the 3900 block of First Street N.W.

Weise is back in court on Sept. 22.
