Keystone XL pipeline town hall to look at issues in Nebraska, Alberta
CBC Calgary co-hosts free public event Monday
CBC Calgary is teaming up with United States public broadcaster America Abroad for a very special discussion about pipelines and energy security.
- Willie Nelson, Neil Young to play anti-Keystone XL pipeline concert in Nebraska
- Keystone XL pipeline protesters gather in Washington
- U.S. to delay Keystone XL decision
You can be a part of this unique cross-border town hall where live audiences in both Calgary and Lincoln, Neb., will be able to interact and discuss the proposed pipeline and the energy situation in both countries.
The proposed Keystone XL Pipeline is front and centre in that debate. It would see more Alberta oil shipped into the U.S.
The CBC's alberta@noon host Donna McElligott and Hari Sreenivasan, an anchor and correspondent with PBS, will moderate the joint town hall.
Representatives from the pipeline and energy industry in Calgary will be in attendance, as well the voices of those who are skeptical when it comes to pipelines and the development of the oilsands.
We also welcome your questions and perspectives.
