Man accused of violent domestic assault wanted by Calgary police

Calgary police are asking for help from the public in locating a man wanted in connection with a violent domestic assault that happened last week.

'We need to locate him immediately to prevent any further risk to the victim'

Calgary police are asking for help from the public in locating a man wanted in connection with a violent domestic assault that happened last week.

Jason Patrick Dawson, 39, is charged with one count of aggravated assault and three counts of failing to comply with a court order in connection with the case, police said in a release Tuesday.

"We need to locate him immediately to prevent any further risk to the victim," the release said.

Dawson is five feet nine inches tall with an average build, brown hair and blue eyes. He has a tattoo on his right arm of a koi fish. 

He was last seen driving a grey, hail-damaged, 2016 Hyundai Veloster with the licence plate CCB 4587.

Anyone with information as to Dawson's whereabouts is asked to call police or contact Crime Stoppers.
