Missing man last seen heading to Banff with truck and canoe
RCMP say Yannick Bastien, 26, had plans to paddle Lake Minnewanka, where they've found his vehicle and boat
Police are asking the public for help in locating a missing man from Airdrie, Alta., who took his canoe to Banff and has not been since since.
RCMP say Yannick Bastien, 26, was last seen the evening of Sept. 21.
"He had plans to take his canoe to Lake Minnewanka. He has not been heard from since," police said in a release.
"Banff RCMP have recovered his truck and red canoe at Lake Minnewanka but there is no sign of Yannick."
Anyone who's in the area is being asked to keep an eye out for anything that might help RCMP locate him.
And anyone who thinks they may have seen him in that area in the past few days is asked to contact the Banff RCMP at at 403-763-6600.
He is described as a white male, about five feet, seven inches tall and 175 lbs., with brown hair, blue eyes and a scruffy beard. Police said he often wears a plaid shirt and jeans.
