BASE jumper missing in mountains west of Calgary found dead

RCMP said they've found the body of a BASE jumper missing since Saturday near Canmore, Alta.
The man, a 34-year-old from Calgary whose name has not been released, was planning to leap from a mountaintop in a wingsuit on Saturday afternoon but had not been heard from since, according to RCMP.
He was reportedly planning to jump in the vicinity of Ha Ling Peak or the east end of Mount Rundle, in the mountains around Canmore, police said.
Search efforts began in the area around Ha Ling Peak on Saturday when the man did not return home.
On Monday, RCMP said the search was expanded after further investigation and the body was found near Miner's Peak on Mount Lawrence Grassi near Canmore.
Canmore is about 100 kilometres west of Calgary.
