With so many on-demand streaming service options out there, it's hard to know where to start. The Homestretch thankfully has Zain Velji to give his advice on what to watch.

Sometimes the best part of your summer vacation is the time you spend relaxing on the couch with your favourite on-demand streaming service.

But with so many options out there, it's hard to know where to start. Thankfully The Homestretch has Zain Velji as an on-demand advisor.

He watches all kinds of television shows and movies on streaming services like Netflix, Crave, Shomi and more. He can point you to the best shows and films out there.

When he's not doing research for his Homestretch column, Zain is a political campaign strategist working in Calgary. So it's only logical that the federal election call was on his mind as he prepared this week's picks.

The campaign leading up to the 2015 federal election is going to be one of the longest in Canadian history. Zain's picks this week celebrate the long-game. Included are some of his favourite films that celebrate the journey, not just the outcome.

All of Zain's picks are available on Netflix.

1. The Place Beyond The Pines  (Netflix)

2. Locke  (Netflix)

3. Knuckleball! (Netflix)

Zain appears weekly on The Homestretch.

Tune in every Wednesday at 5:50 p.m. MT to hear his picks.
