Thieves steal ATM by smashing through bank wall with front end loader

Thieves opted for a front end loader rather than a bank card to make a significant withdrawal on Sunday morning.

Thieves opted for a front end loader rather than a bank card to make a significant withdrawal on Sunday morning.

Police got a call just before 4 a.m. and arrived at the Beacon Hill Royal Bank to find a hole in the side of the building, a missing ATM and the loader.

The thieves used the loader to smash through the wall and remove the cash machine. Police confirm the ATM was full of money, but they're not sure exactly how much.

Police continue to investigate.
