Sigourney Weaver, Aliens co-stars to reunite at Calgary comic expo
Cast of sci-fi horror classic attending event at Stampede Park
Organizers of Calgary's Comic and Entertainment Expo say they have landed some of the biggest names in the galaxy of science fiction horror movies.
The cast of the classic 1986 sci-fi horror film Aliens — including Sigourney Weaver, Bill Paxton and Michael Biehn — will be reunited at the event.
Weaver was nominated for an Academy Award for her starring role in the 1986 movie, which is a sequel to 1979’s Alien.
The sci-fi franchise went on to include two more instalments.
The Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo is one of Canada's largest events featuring film, television and comic books.
More than 60,000 people attended last year.
Other stars expected include Sean Astin from the Lord of the Rings and Mark Boone Jr. from Sons of Anarchy.
The event runs from April 24-27 at Stampede Park.
