Snow in Calgary creates slippery morning commute
Thursday has 60 per cent chance of rain or flurries, and the weekend is looking balmy — for November
Snow started to fall across Calgary Monday morning, covering much of the city, but it didn't stick around for long.
However, it did make a mess for the morning commute. Calgary police say they responded to 38 collisions before 11 a.m. — six of which involved injuries.

The flurries ended Monday afternoon, and Environment Canada says on its website that clouds and a low of –6 C are in the forecast for the evening.
However, there was a snowfall warning in effect for these areas west of Calgary:
- Kananaskis I.D. near Highwood and Cataract Creek.
- Kananaskis I.D. near Kananaskis Village.
- M.D. of Bighorn near Canmore Exshaw and Ghost Lake.
- M.D. of Bighorn near Ghost River Wilderness.
Warm by the weekend?
Thursday is the only other day where precipitation is in the forecast, with a 60 per cent chance of rain or flurries.
Environment Canada is forecasting above-zero daytime temperatures all week long and, at this point, even a downright balmy weekend — for November anyway.
Calgarians can expect plenty of sun and temperatures up to 15 C on Saturday and 10 C on Sunday, according to the national weather agency's longer-term outlook.
