One man stabbed after groups fight with pepper spray in northeast Calgary
Man in serious but stable condition after stabbing
Calgary Police Service says one man is in hospital and another is in police custody after a stabbing Friday night near the Marlborough LRT station in northeast Calgary.
Police told CBC News two groups of people were fighting shortly before midnight at the LRT station, which is located at 889 36 Street N.E.
The fight escalated and both groups started spraying pepper spray at one another. Police say one man was stabbed and is now in hospital in serious but stable condition.
At the scene, police also recovered a pistol that had been hidden nearby.
Police say one person is in custody in connection with the weapon. The stabbing is still being investigated.
