Target liquidation kick off disappoints Calgary shoppers

Sale prices not what most bargain-hunters expected
The liquidation is underway at Target stores across Canada, but many Calgary shoppers who lined up looking for a bargain walked away unsatisfied.
On Thursday morning, about 80 people waited for the Westhills store to open to see what kind of deals could be had.
Shopper Ken Harper left the store empty-handed.
"I just went to look at the TVs, some of the bigger, you know, electronics and stuff like that, thinking there might be a good deal. It says 30 per cent, up to 30 per cent off. Anything that's worth buying is only 10 per cent off," he said.
Target isn't setting the sale prices — that's being done by three professional liquidators. Prices are expected to continue to drop in the coming weeks.
