This week on the Key of A, you're headed to Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre, where they're shining the Alberta Spotlight on a rising band from Edmonton, The Prairie States.

Just over a year old, this band has already taken top place in Project Wild, had two charting singles and toured extensively in Western Canada. Their sound is a blend of '60's soul and '70's rock with a modern alt-country vibe.

Hear The Prairie States live, thanks to our partners at the National Music Centre!

Listen to the Key of A, Saturday 5-6 p.m. on CBC Radio 1 across Alberta.
