Tuscany LRT racist graffiti suspects appear in court, 1 now faces hate-crime charges
Kyle McKenzie charged with two counts of inciting hatred, remains in custody
Hate crime charges were laid Monday against one of the men accused in connection with the Tuscany LRT graffiti incident.
Miguel Lavergne and Kyle James McKenzie appeared in court but only McKenzie, who remains in custody, faces two new charges of inciting hate.

In December, anti-Muslim messages were sprayed all over the station, on a C-Train car and on five vehicles in the parking lot.
Lavergne came to court carrying a red guitar, said he would likely represent himself and refused to comment on the graffiti.

—@CBCMegTwo suspects were seen on CCTV entering the Tuscany station around 5:45 p.m. on Dec. 3 and using gold spray paint to write their messages.
Lavergne and McKenzie were arrested days later.
