WestJet launches non-stop Calgary-Penticton service

WestJet launched its new daily non-stop service to the Okanagan from Calgary on Sunday.

Airline says this route marks 41st non-stop destination it serves from Calgary International Airport

WestJet launched its new daily non-stop service to the Okanagan from Calgary on Sunday.

WestJet says the daily service will depart Calgary at 2:10 p.m. MT and arrive in Penticton at 2:26 p.m PT. A second flight will bring passengers from Penticton to Calgary at 3 p.m. PT, arriving at 5:05 p.m. MT.

"We continue to liberate Canadians in smaller communities from the high cost of air travel," said Paul Harvalias, WestJet vice-president of revenue management in a news release. "We're excited to be bringing out low fares and remarkable guest experience to the South Okanagan."

Fares from Penticton to Calgary will be $99 one-way and a one-way Calgary to Penticton flight will cost $134.53.

The airline says this route will mark its 41st non-stop destination serviced from the Calgary International Airport.

With 97 daily departures, the Calgary airport is WestJet's busiest Canadian airport.
