A 43-year-old man has died in a suspected workplace fall on Tsuut'ina land.

Alberta Health Services confirmed that EMS responded Tuesday to a call at a job site along Weaselhead Road, south of Grey Eagle Drive and near the Metro Ford dealership.

The call came in at approximately 8 a.m.

"On arrival, EMS assumed care of an adult male patient in serious and potentially life-threatening condition," AHS said in an emailed statement.

"Immediate interventions were undertaken by EMS crews as the patient was quickly deteriorating into critical and life-threatening condition."

The Tsuut'ina Nation Police Service said emergency services worked desperately to provide lifesaving aid but the man died at the scene.

AHS said the scene was left in care of the Tsuut'ina police and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety, which is investigating the incident and the factors leading up to it.

"The incident appears to have been unwitnessed," AHS said in a written statement. "This will be a part of the investigation."
