Do you love to make videos and online content? Do you have a compelling visual story to share?

CBC Creator Network in Atlantic Canada is looking for digital storytellers from diverse backgrounds to produce original content for CBC platforms.

We want creators to tell stories through their own lens, and we will license and pay for the content.

What is the Creator Network?

The CBC Creator Network amplifies the voices of the next generation of Canadian storytellers and connects them with CBC. We're looking for compelling stories, unique perspectives and arresting visuals that reflect the country in all its diversity.

We work with you, providing mentorship and guidance as you create original content.

The goal of Creator Network is to bring more authentic and diverse stories to CBC platforms and to support Canadian creators in sharing stories.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for content creators to make short videos (around three to seven minutes in length) that will appeal to an 18- to 30-year-old audience.

Although we're primarily seeking pitches for video content, we're also open to personal essays, audio essays, comics and illustrations.

Content creators can be filmmakers, writers, vloggers, artists, animators, or anyone with a strong idea and a visual plan for the content.

Here are a few recent examples of Creator Network pieces produced on the East Coast:

The Sweet Life of Edward Knuckles
Fit Check with Zihan: Outfit favourites
How does the ocean make you feel?
A gift for a friend: Why a P.E.I artist brings flowers to the water
