Eighty years ago, volunteer Canadian soldiers bravely stormed the beaches of Normandy — running into machine-gun fire, land mines and years of built-up German defences — to help liberate France from the Nazis.

The veterans who remain are now in their 90s or even 100s. For some, it could be their last trip to Juno Beach.

And we will be right there with them.

Join CBC News on the 80th anniversary of D-Day, as we bring new parts of the story to life, connect younger generations to this historical moment and take you to the place where so many Canadian men and boys made the ultimate sacrifice.
