Edmonton's first board game cafe opened its doors Saturday.

A new cafe in Edmonton has board game fans rolling the dice.

The Table Top Cafe has more than 300 board games for visitors to choose from.

For five dollars, customers can play for as long as they want.

It's the only cafe of its kind in the city.

“It's just like a regular cafe. We have paninis and banana bread and lattes. But I also have a huge collection of board games,” said owner Brian Flowers.

“Me and my friends were sitting around one night and came up with the idea,” he said. “And I just kept taking it one step further. And ended up creating this.”

As the CBC’s Paul Moore reports, with a strong opening day, going to the cafe is no trivial pursuit for people who love board games.
