At least two children discovered pills in their Halloween candy in Lloydminster, RCMP report.
The first incident involved a full blister pack of pills found in a bag of candy while the second was a pill found inside a Snickers bar.
Police said a child bit into the bar to find the white pill.
The child did not ingest the pill, found to be stamped with the letters "APO", but gave it to her parents who called police.
A closer inspection revealed the wrapper had been opened and resealed.
The candy bar was collected in Lloydminster in the Lakeside area, RCMP said.
Police continue to investigate and urge parents to carefully examine their children's candy.
Lloydminster straddles the Alberta/Saskatchewan border, about 250 kilometres east of Edmonton.
