Arkells announce Hamilton show with Frank Turner
One of Hamilton's biggest musical exports is coming home.
Arkells announced 2017 tour dates Monday morning, in support of the band's new album, Morning Report.
Among them is a Feb. 10 date in Hamilton at FirstOntario Centre.
It's the band's first hometown date since the 2015 GreenBelt Harvest Picnic, and first show in the downtown core since a 2014 Supercrawl performance that still stands as that festival's biggest.

The band has been touring hard in support of Morning Report, which dropped in August. That album comes on the heels of the gold-selling High Noon.

The band is also joined on the show by acclaimed songwriter Frank Turner and his band, The Sleeping Souls, who they have been touring with in recent months.
Turner is an British folk/punk songwriter whose relentless touring has garnered him accolades across the world — though he's best known in the U.K., where his fanbase is large enough to play venues like Wembley Arena.
Pre-sale tickets go on sale Tuesday, with full ticket sales beginning Friday.
