Brantford police investigating man's death as homicide

Brantford police say a man is dead after being assaulted.

Police say on April 5 at around 11:30 p.m., they responded to a report that a man had been assaulted. 

When officers arrived to an address on William Street, they found a man suffering from "serious" injuries, according to a news release Saturday. 

The man was transported to the Brantford General Hospital without vital signs where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Police say they're investigating the incident as a homicide.

The man's identity is being withheld until his next of kin are notified.
