Get outside before it snows, as balmy Friday gives way to winter
After a week of winter it's starting to feel like spring.
Mother Nature gave the winter-weary a late Christmas gift, bringing a high of 12 C to Hamilton Friday — about 11 degrees above average.
With just a bit of rain, it's the perfect weather to get outside and take a stroll or maybe even play a round of golf.

Fortunately for winter enthusiasts, the warm spell won't last.
The temperature is expected to drop to a low of -1 C Friday night with a windchill of -8 C, according to Environment Canada. There's also a 60 per cent chance of snow overnight. By Saturday morning our spring-like day will have felt like a dream.
The flurries should end in the morning, leaving behind a mainly cloudy, chilly day with wind gusts of 50 km/h. The temperature will keep falling to -4 C in the afternoon with a windchill of -10 C.
A mix of sun, snow and rain rings in next week and the new year.
Environment Canada is forecasting a far warmer New Year's Eve than we saw last year when temperatures dipped to -25 C in Hamilton and outdoor celebrations were cancelled or cut short across much of the country as a deep freeze settled in.
Monday's high of 2 C comes with a 40 per cent chance of rain during the day and a 40 per cent chance of snow at night. But at least you'll be able to feel your toes as the countdown to 2019 begins.
Snow and a high of 1 C are expected for News Year's Day.
